Rooftop pool, Sarabi
- We had a great and relaxing time and catching up with family. We were there on a weekday, so it wasn’t that busy or loud which was great.
- The rooftop lounge gives you a great view of the city. Unfortunately, on my last visit in April 2019 the pool was being repaired, so we didn’t have a chance to try it out. But on my visit in 2017, my family got to enjoy the pool and they loved it.
Graze their award-winning steakhouse
They serve fantastic steaks along with great service. I have eaten here three times and the food has never disappointed. Great selection of wine.
Would I stay at Sankara Nairobi, Autograph Collection again?
Absolutely! Sankara is my hotel of choice whenever I am in Nairobi. Though the hotel is relatively big, the staff still manages to give personal service. Staff members are friendly, professional and ready to help with a genuine smile. Having stayed here four times, I’m always impressed how the staff observes and engages with the guests to ensure that they have a wonderful experience.
On my last visit I made arrangements for airport transfer and the process was smooth and streamlined. The hotel seems to be the preferred choice for people traveling on business. Perhaps, because of their outstanding service.
A lovely touch Sankara Nairobi offers every evening, including check-in, is leaving a small animal on my bedside with a card explaining a bit about the animal. They call the animals “The Sankara Seven,” a collection of seven little stone-carved animal figurines. What thoughtful giveaways.
The staff at the front desk and Solomon at the main door makes it a point to remember your name and this just adds a personal touch to one’s stay. Sankara’s staff is truly remarkable! Have you stayed at Sankara Nairobi? If so, what was your experience?
Full disclosure: This post was NOT sponsored neither have I received any financial compensation in any way.
