Wondering where to stay in Mombasa, Kenya :Maji Beach Boutique Hotel, Diani Beach. You can download my complete list of BEACH PACKING LIST.
Are you wondering where to stay in Mombasa, Kenya? Better yet, where to stay on the famous Diani Beach?I made a video because I wholeheartedly recommend the Maji Beach Boutique Hotel, Diani Beach. One of our destinations while vacationing for two weeks in Kenya, Africa in 2019.
First time I visited Maji was in 2017. I stumbled onto this little gem by asking Google where to stay in Mombasa Kenya. And I’m so glad I chose to stay here because it was the beginning of an adventurous, luxurious travel experience.
The hotel’s front desk staff and a person named Zipporah handled our reservation seamlessly. Because we made our reservation a year in advance, the Maji makes it easy to make payments online, compared to bank transfers which can be a bit of a hustle and sometimes inconvenient for guests.
We were picked up at the Ukunda airstrip having made reservations ahead of time. The driver was very kind and offered refreshing towels to clean our face or hands. Ten minutes from the airport, we arrived at Maji Beach Boutique Hotel, Diani Beach. We were welcomed by Evelynn with refreshing drinks then a quick tour. Upon entering the hotel, we felt vibes of pure relaxation. Here is my guide to travelling to Kenya as an American Citizen.

Food/Meals
While on vacation, I am not a fan of having a set schedule nor being told when I should eat. This is why Maji is one of my favorite hotels because they clearly understand the needs of their guests and make you feel a sense of being home away from home. You get to eat what you want, when you want, where you want and choose from an extensive a la carte menu. Vegetarian menus are offered and dietary requirements can be catered to for gluten free, lactose free, etc. This is why you should stay at Maji while visiting Diani Beach, Mombasa.
Also, the staff serves snacks and fruits to guests frequently. I probably gained easily more than 3-5 pounds just from our stay here. The service at Maji is impeccable. Honestly their service is like nothing I have experienced. They are attentive, friendly and helpful.
