You can make an appointment ahead of time, or just walk in. Appointments open up every few minutes, pretty much 5-10 minutes before. So, you can schedule your visit on your way to the location site. If you arrive by car, you’ll be asked to pull up and stay in your car.
Remember to keep your mask on. The first person will check you in and go through the paperwork. The second person will give you the equipment for the sample collection, including the code you will need to retrieve your results. The third and your last contact person will collect the sample.
This person will give you a tissue to wipe your eyes if they get watery and ask you to lower your mask. Then they will swab both of your nostrils. I think I remember that they counted 8 seconds on each nostrils, but I assure you it feels like a full minute. Warning: some individuals are gentler than others. It’s not painful just very uncomfortable. In about 10 minutes you are all done.
