I hope you’ll find this backpacking essential checklist helpful. Please feel free to add comments and suggestions on what I should add to this list.

Policy on Affiliate links on travelwithirine website.
I thought you might like to know what happens when you purchase a product from my website. Through a process called Affiliate Marketing, when you click a link on my website, a notice is sent to an affiliate retailer, such as REI, and the URL automatically notes that you came from travelwithirine.com. This entitles me to a small commission from each purchase at no extra charge to you. This commission helps pay for my work in putting the content together. It doesn’t cost you more and the price is the same as if you went directly to the retailer’s site. Please note—I recommend only products that I like and have used.
